Brew Crew takes 2 of 3 from O’s

8/18-8/20 - Memorial Stadium
GAME 1 - Orioles 6, Brewers 3
Mike Caldwell vs Mike Cuellar
Ken_Singleton The O's double up the Brew Crew on the heels of a 3 run second inning off of beleaguered Brewers starter Mike Caldwell (0-3, 8.27).  Caldwell wasn't alone in taking the blame.  Errors by B.J. Surhoff and Robin Yount (5th error this season) led to the big inning for the O's.  Mike Cuellar cruised until the 8th when he gave up 2 runs.  Greg Olson got the final 2 outs to record his first save of the season.  Ken Singleton and Frank Robinson hit their first homers of the season for the O's.

GAME 2 - Brewers 13, Orioles 1
Chris Bosio vs Milt PappasBen_Oglivie
The Brew Crew knocked Pappas out of the box with 6 runs in the  first.  10 batters would come to the plate in that lethal inning.  Ben Oglivie's grand slam would be the coffin nail for Pappas.  Oglive would hit another homer in the 4th and a double in the 7th to round out his day with 6 RBI's.  Chris Bosio would go the distance and give up just 4 hits and 1 unearned run in this blowout contest.

GAME 3 - Brewers 11, Orioles 4
Teddy Higuera vs Jim Palmer
Gorman_Thomas The Gorman Thomas show featured 3 homers and 5 RBI on a day where Milwaukee's lumbering center fielder went 3 for 4 and scored 4 runs.  Teddy Higuera gave up 2 earned runs in 7 innings while fanning 7 O's.  Jim Palmer was downright awful (7 runs in 6 innings) as his ERA ballooned to 7.83 and his record fell to 1-2.  Higuera's record now stands at 3-1 with a 3.94 ERA.
